An excellent way for participants to engage in community service opportunities by teaching at a local primary school and actively contribute to the local community in a significant way. The goal of each project is to educate and engage participants while at the same time help a community that needs it. The school caters to 1,500 students in the local community.  Students are eager to learn and practice their English to pursue future opportunities in travel and hospitality. The school operates under the national curriculum set by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Phare artists will astonish you with their energy, passion, talent and dedication. Where are they from and how did they get to where they are? From some of the most difficult social and economic backgrounds imaginable, these Cambodian youth transform their lives through art. An incredibly inspirational experience not to be missed.

Traditional Apsara dance show

It has been a tradition since the earliest days of tourism in the 19th century to treat visitors to Siem Reap with a ‘Apsara dance performance’ – a taste of classical Khmer culture.

The Apsara Dance comes from the legend that Cambodia originated from the union of the hermit Kampu and the Apsara Mera. Today, witness this historical and cultural ceremony while enjoying a buffet and dance performance.

The lake is a unique eco-system and cultural area offering the opportunity to see a different side of the Siem Reap – floating villages, cultural and nature tours. The Lake is also an important commercial resource, providing more than half of the fish consumed in Cambodia.

In harmony with the specialized ecosystems, the human occupations at the edges of the lake is similarly distinctive – floating villages, towering stilted houses, huge fish traps, and an economy and way of life deeply intertwined with the lake, the fish, the wildlife and the cycles of rising and falling waters.
